Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Driver Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transportation and clerical operations within the Internal Audit Division. Your duties will include:

Driving and Transportation: Operate light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers, mail, and documents efficiently and safely.

Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles, report defects promptly, and ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.

Record-Keeping: Accurately complete required documentation, including vehicle logbooks, trip authorities, and records for consumables like fuel.

Clerical Support: Provide messenger and clerical services, such as collecting and delivering documentation, photocopying, faxing, and assisting in the Chief Audit Executive Office.

Compliance: Adhere to protocols for the proper use, storage, and maintenance of vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education: Grade 10 (NQF Level 2) or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 2–3 years of experience as a Messenger/Driver.

Licenses: A valid driver’s license is mandatory. A Military Driver’s License and Public Driver’s Permit (PDP) are advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge:

Advanced driving skills (preferred).

Knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance and defect inspections.

Familiarity with procedures for operating vehicles, including obtaining trip authorities, completing logbooks, and securing consumables (e.g., fuel).

Understanding of protocols for vehicle utilization and storage.

Experience with messenger functions and basic office support tasks, such as registry operations and photocopying.
