Job Description
The Retail Counter Salesman will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales at the Edenvale branch. Key responsibilities include:
- Merchandising: Ensuring products are displayed effectively to attract customers.
- Customer Service: Assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases.
- Sales: Meeting sales targets by promoting products.
- Stock Control: Managing stock levels, including taking inventory and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Invoicing and Pricing: Handling transactions accurately and maintaining pricing integrity.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Education: Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Experience: Previous sales experience in Automotive, Engineering, Tools and Machinery, or Hardware environments is preferred. Experience in Merchandising, Stock Control, and Retail Branch Procedures is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliability and honesty.
- Technical knowledge in DIY or Hardware environments is a plus.
Work Schedule
- Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
