On the other hand, a matric remark allows candidates to request a re-evaluation of their original answer script by a different marker if they believe their assigned marks do not align with their actual performance.
How to Apply for a Matric Remark/Recheck:
Candidates can obtain application forms from the examination center or opt for an online application through the following steps:
- Visit the Government’s Official e-Services Portal.
- Click on the education icon (graduation cap).
- Select the Basic Education option, leading to various choices.
- Choose Re-Mark/Recheck.
- Fill out all required fields in the online application, ensuring accuracy.
- Once satisfied with the information, accept the terms and conditions by checking the designated box (√).
Minister Motshekga has cautioned candidates against disruptive behavior at post-exam celebrations, known as “pens down parties.” Emphasizing the need for support from parents, communities, and caregivers, the minister aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students during this celebratory period.
