Position: General Worker
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Salary: Competitive, with benefits
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of water and sanitation infrastructure
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of facilities and equipment
- Support skilled workers with tasks as needed
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations and standards
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required
- Report any issues or damages to supervisors promptly
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with the team
Requirements:
- Less than Grade 12 qualification (No formal education required)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
- Reliability and strong work ethic
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Positive attitude and proactive approach to tasks
