Requirements:

• Grade 12/ Level 4 Certificate/ National Vocational Certificate or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience as a Foreman in cleaning services in a public health environment.
• Three years of National Diploma/ Degree in Public Administration or Public Management will be an added advantage.
• Computer Literacy with practical knowledge of MS packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet).
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, inspect, and evaluate the work of cleaners.
• Must be able to work shifts (day, night, weekends, and holidays).
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal relations skills.
• Ready to relieve colleagues as the need arises and work closely with other disciplines.

Duties:

• Ensure that the section has Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure cleaning of floors, doors, walls, windows, beds, bed locker, steps, high dusting, etc., is always done.
• Ensure that cleaning checklists are always checked by Area Managers and immediate supervisors.
• Ensure that cleaners are allocated at all strategic points daily.
• Ensure that all allocated indoors and outdoors cleaning duties are carried out and inspected accordingly.
• Ensure that all complaints are handled with urgency as deemed necessary.
• Ensure that cleaning chemicals are used accordingly.
• Assist with extra duties as delegated by the next level supervisor.
• Ensure continuous training and development of staff.
• Responsible for personnel performance evaluation (PMDS) within regulated timelines and monitoring of attendance.
