Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to become an integral part of the Footgear team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fashion and footwear, with a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. This role involves direct interaction with customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find the perfect product. You will also be responsible for maintaining the presentation of stock, processing transactions, and contributing to the store’s sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide them with information about products and services.
- Understand customer needs and guide them through our product range, making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise, conducting inventory checks, and maintaining store standards.
- Participate in all store training and meetings, staying updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and store promotions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store targets and objectives.
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate is essential.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- A passion for fashion and footwear, with a keen eye for detail and current trends.
- Availability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, and handle stock merchandise.
