Job Description

The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness in designated areas, adhering to prescribed methods and requirements. The Cleaner will report directly to the Supervisor.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Emptying and cleaning waste bins, transporting waste to collection points.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, including suction cleaning of carpets.
• Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines.
• Dusting, wiping, washing, or polishing furniture, ledges, and surfaces.
• Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, etc.).
• Cleaning ablution facilities (toilets, basins, showers).
• Deep cleaning of drains and ablutions.
• Gardening duties such as weeding, lawn cutting, and pruning.
• Using chemical agents as directed.
• Wall washing and window cleaning.
• Adapting to cleaning location changes within the establishment.
• Reporting issues or factors affecting work to the supervisor.

Skills, Experience & Education

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in an FMCG environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
