Human Rights Watch Africa Division Internship 2024: The Human Rights Watch Africa Division Internship 2024 offers an opportunity to work in HRW’s Johannesburg office, focusing on health rights and gender-based violence in South Africa. Interns will work for a minimum of 18 to 35 hours per week, starting in January 2024 and ending in May 2024. The role involves conducting research, press monitoring, data analysis, and supporting meeting planning for projects in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk research and small research tasks
- Monitor press and compile reports on news related to Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
- Perform data analysis
- Attend and assist in planning meetings
- Undertake other assignments based on the intern’s interests and capabilities
