ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER

FIELDS COVERED BY THE BURSARY
The Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary is open to undergraduate students residing in the Greater Letaba Municipal area. Bursaries will be awarded for full-time studies in the following fields:
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering and Built Environment
- Finance
- Information Technology
- Tourism
Through this programme, the Municipality aims to cultivate a future workforce equipped to meet the region’s developmental needs.
WHAT THE BURSARY COVERS
The bursary will provide full financial support for the duration of the student’s academic programme, including:
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
- Accommodation (if applicable)
Funds will be paid directly to the educational institution. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- Be a permanent resident of the Greater Letaba Municipality area in Limpopo.
- Have successfully completed Matric.
- Be enrolled or accepted to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the specified fields.
- Be studying or admitted at a recognised and accredited South African University, Technikon, or FET college.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance.
- Be in financial need (proof required).
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit the following certified copies alongside their completed application form:
- ID Document
- Matric Certificate or final results
- Academic transcripts for 2023 (if currently studying)
- Most recent exam results
- Proof of admission to a tertiary institution
- ID documents of parents/guardians
- Proof of income (latest payslips, affidavit for unemployed, or proof of SASSA grant/pension)
- Sworn affidavit confirming joint annual income of parents/guardians
- Proof of residence
- A testimonial from a previous school, higher learning institution, or Traditional Authority
- A motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary

- Download the application form from the Municipality’s website or collect it from one of the municipal sub-offices at the following locations:

- Fill in the form accurately and attach all required documents. Ensure that your application is complete to avoid disqualification.
