Job Description

As a Foreman: Cleaning and Grounds, you will supervise cleaning and grounds maintenance teams, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and upkeep in public facilities. This role involves managing rosters, monitoring cleaning and grounds services, and maintaining equipment and materials, contributing to a safe and functional work environment in the Waterberg District.


Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Qualification at NQF Level 04 as recognized by SAQA.

Core and Process Competencies:

  • Machine operations.

  • Knowledge of working procedures in a cleaning and grounds environment.

  • Basic interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Basic literacy.

  • Organizing, flexibility, cooperation, and teamwork.


Duties

  • Supervision of Cleaners:

    • Provide guidance and advice to cleaning staff.

    • Develop and update cleaning rosters.

    • Perform administrative tasks related to team management.

  • Provision and Monitoring of Cleaning Services:

    • Oversee cleaning of offices, corridors, general kitchens, restrooms, elevators, and boardrooms.

    • Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Provision and Monitoring of Grounds Services:

    • Oversee maintenance of surroundings and premises.

    • Ensure grounds are clean and well-maintained.

  • Management of Cleaning Materials and Equipment:

    • Maintain and replace cleaning machines and equipment.

    • Requisition and issue cleaning materials as needed.
