Job Description
The Credit Controller will play a critical role in managing collections for the SecureDrive division, ensuring timely payments and reducing bad debt. This role involves telephonic client engagement, query resolution, and administrative tasks to maintain efficient cash flow and customer satisfaction within a high-volume consumer environment.
Minimum Requirements

Education:
-
Matric (Grade 12).
-
Credit Management or Finance-related qualification.

Experience:
-
2–3 years of collections experience in a high-volume consumer environment.

Technical Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.

Working knowledge of LSN (Listener System) and SAP.
-

Soft Skills:

Strong people and communication skills.

Collections and Client Engagement:
-
Telephonically contact clients with due or overdue SecureDrive accounts to secure payments.
-
Obtain client commitments to settle overdue accounts promptly and follow up on payment promises.
-
Issue letters of demand and suspension notices per the collection policy.
-
Convert clients from printed to electronic communication methods.
-

System and Data Management:
-
Accurately record notes from outbound calls in the Listener system.
-
Capture debit order resubmissions and verify client information in the Listener system.
-
Review regional suspense accounts daily to allocate unallocated payments correctly.
-
Prepare administrative documents (e.g., credit note requests, fund transfers, refund requests, master data amendments).
-
Process off-setting of receipts, credit notes, and debit notes daily.
-
Reconcile accounts with credit balances, identifying reasons and making adjustments (refunds or transfers).

Query Resolution:
-
Identify, record, and redirect client queries unrelated to Credit Control to relevant departments via the Listener system or query management tool.

Follow up on forwarded queries to ensure resolution and facilitate payments.

Address and resolve Credit Control-related queries from clients or the Contact Centre.

Communicate query outcomes to internal and external customers.
-
Forward requested documentation (invoices, statements) electronically or in print.

Achieve individual and departmental collection and bad debt provision targets.

Maintain high standards of customer service, courtesy, and professionalism.

Understand and communicate company and collection policies to clients.

Participate in ad-hoc projects within the Credit Control Department.
