ABOUT THE ROLE
Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a major client site in Milnerton, Cape Town. This role is crucial in ensuring that Tsebo’s standards of hygiene, safety, service quality, and operational excellence are consistently upheld. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will directly supervise cleaning personnel, manage work schedules, monitor performance, ensure compliance with cleaning protocols, and serve as a point of contact between Tsebo, staff, and the client.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cleaning Supervisor, your daily responsibilities will include:
Staff Management & Coordination

Supervise and lead a team of cleaning staff, ensuring all assigned duties are completed timeously and in line with agreed schedules.

Allocate daily tasks, monitor staff performance, and ensure teams understand their responsibilities.

Conduct ongoing coaching and provide guidance to staff to improve productivity and service quality.
Operational Oversight

Conduct thorough inspections of cleaning areas, equipment, and storage rooms to ensure compliance with Tsebo’s standards and applicable safety regulations.

Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment, and request replenishments to avoid disruptions.

Maintain updated cleaning rosters, time sheets, and operational reports.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure adherence to company cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and occupational health and safety guidelines.

Report incidents, risks, equipment faults, or operational issues promptly and assist in implementing corrective action.

Ensure proper handling of chemicals and cleaning equipment in accordance with training and safety requirements.
Training & Development

Provide on-the-job training to new staff members on cleaning protocols, standards, and company procedures.

Reinforce proper use of equipment, personal protective gear, and safe working methods.

Support staff development through skills transfer and mentorship.
Client Relationship Management

Act as the point of contact for the client regarding cleaning concerns, service requests, and queries.

Respond timeously to client issues and escalate concerns to management when required.

Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude while representing Tsebo on-site.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Solid understanding of cleaning principles, hygiene practices, and Tsebo operational policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
-
2–3 years of experience in a cleaning environment

At least 1 year of supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities operations

Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and heavy-duty equipment
