About the Role
The Cashier position is a frontline retail role focused on processing transactions using Pick n Pay’s POS system, handling cash, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. This position requires strong numeracy, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment. Cashiers work as part of a dynamic team, contributing to the store’s success while building valuable retail experience.
Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing: Efficiently process customer transactions using the POS system, including scanning items, handling cash, card payments, and giving refunds.

Cash Management: Balance tills accurately at the end of shifts and maintain proper cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies.

Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers warmly, answering queries, and resolving complaints professionally.

Requirements and Competencies
