General Assistant: Fruit & Veg

Location: Food Lovers Pinehurst, Cape Town

Reporting To: Fruit & Veg Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Act as the first point of contact, assisting customers with their grocery purchases.
Store Maintenance: Ensure the Fruit & Veg area is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently running.
Product Management: Prepare sale displays, stock products, ensure accurate labeling, and handle customer orders.
Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers find products and making purchasing decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Matric
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in fresh produce
Additional Experience: Proven customer service or retail experience is advantageous.

Key Duties:

Assist customers with their needs and guide them to appropriate aisles.
Ensure the store is clean, safe, and organized.
Stock and replace products, prepare displays, and ensure accurate product labeling.
Order out-of-stock products and handle near expiry items with special promotions.

Personal Attributes:

Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Cleaner at Food Lover’s Market
