Job Overview
The Multi-Skilled Employee is an all-round team member responsible for delivering outstanding customer service across various cinema functions. You may be assigned to work as a cashier, cinema assistant, waiter, poppers (concessions attendant), or assist in other operational areas as required by management.
This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and enthusiasm to ensure that guests enjoy a seamless and enjoyable cinema experience every time they visit.
Key Responsibilities
As a Multi-Skilled Employee, your duties will include:

Customer Service Excellence:
Greet and assist guests with ticket sales, concessions, and general enquiries, ensuring every visitor receives friendly, efficient service. -
Box Office and Concessions Operations:
Operate tills for ticket and catering sales, process payments accurately, and manage collections efficiently. -
Product Knowledge and Upselling:
Stay informed about Ster-Kinekor’s current movies, promotions, and loyalty programs to make recommendations and upsell products to enhance the guest experience. -
Cinema Presentation Standards:
Ensure all promotional materials, posters, and displays are neat, updated, and comply with brand standards, including age restriction signage and disclaimers. -
Food and Beverage Preparation:
Prepare popcorn, slushes, and other cinema snacks according to Ster-Kinekor’s quality and hygiene standards. Report any deviations in quality immediately. -
Operational Support:
Assist in preparing for shifts by organizing your area, ensuring equipment is ready for use, and replenishing stock as needed. -
Health, Safety, and Hygiene:
Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, counters, and storerooms. Ensure all health and safety (H&S) procedures and reports are completed as per schedule. -
Uniform and Presentation:
Always adhere to Ster-Kinekor’s uniform and grooming standards, presenting yourself as a professional brand ambassador. -
Inventory and Storage:
Ensure all prepared products are correctly sealed, labeled, and stored to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. -
Reputation and Conduct:
Represent Ster-Kinekor with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm, as your behavior directly impacts the company’s reputation.
Minimum Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) is required.
Experience and Knowledge

0–1 year of work experience in a customer service or retail environment is ideal.

Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with VISTA software will be advantageous (cinema management system).
