SALARY:
R183,279 per annum

REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 (Std. 7).
Experience:
- Relevant experience operating a high-volume switchboard in a hospital environment, including messaging and paging systems.
Inherent Requirements:
- Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work overtime when needed for operational requirements.
- Physically capable of hearing and speaking clearly.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in computer literacy (MS Office: Word and Excel).
- Experience with electronic switchboards and paging systems.
- Knowledge of alarm systems related to switchboard operations.
DUTIES
- Telecommunication: Manage telecommunication tasks, including paging, handling, and answering calls.
- Maintain the hospital’s internal telephone directory.
- Report all faults and technical issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure the switchboard and telephone equipment are functioning properly.
- Provide secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to the supervisor.
