Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
Secure tyre stock and address daily stock discrepancies.
Participate in monthly cycle counts.
Tyre Surveys
Travel to designated sites to conduct vehicle tyre surveys using management software.
Record tyre details, including brand, pressure, tread depth, and positions.
Perform monthly checks and ensure proper identification of tyres and spare wheels.
Branding and Tyre Replacement
Brand tyres and replace damaged, smooth, or punctured ones as per SOPs.
Accurately document all tyre changes.
Tyre Rotation and Breakdowns
Rotate tyres to match tread depth.
Load appropriate tyres for breakdown assistance and ensure compliance with South African driving laws.
Return damaged tyres to the depot with correct documentation.
Equipment and Asset Management
Secure tablets, vehicle keys, and maintain tools in good condition.
Complete and submit daily vehicle checklists.
Report accidents, damages, or defective equipment promptly.
Health, Safety, and Housekeeping
Maintain cleanliness in workspaces and vehicles.
Adhere to PPE and safety standards.
Report any safety concerns or near-misses.
General Duties
Comply with company policies and procedures, including attendance and dress code.
Be available for additional tasks, including weekend shifts if necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Matric (Grade 12).
License: Code B driver’s license.
Experience: 1–2 years of heavy-duty tyre maintenance experience.
