Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be registered or qualify for possible registration at an approved South African university for the following year
- Must meet specific academic criteria:
- B.Eng. and B.Sc.: Level 6 in Mathematics and Physical Science, Level 5 in English (various options)
- Current university students must meet minimum course requirements and not be on an extended study period
General Criteria for Current University Students
- Minimum of 50% for all courses in the previous academic year
- Must be registered for the degree over the minimum study period
- Applications must be for full-time studies at an accredited South African university (excluding UNISA, except for Mine Surveying at a University of Technology)
Postgraduate Studies
- Minimum of 65% for all courses in the previous academic year
Sasol Foundation Bursary
Additional criteria include a combined household income of less than R600,000 per annum and specific eligibility for non-STEM bursaries for qualifying children of Sasol employees, Khanyisa/Inzalo shareholders, or candidates from Sasol Fence-line communities.
Benefits
- Coverage of registration fees, tuition fees (excluding repeat modules), pocket money, meal allowance, accommodation, and a once-off computer and calculator allowance.
