Job Description

The Retail Counter Salesman will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales at the Edenvale branch. Key responsibilities include:

• Merchandising: Ensuring products are displayed effectively to attract customers.
• Customer Service: Assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases.
• Sales: Meeting sales targets by promoting products.
• Stock Control: Managing stock levels, including taking inventory and ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Invoicing and Pricing: Handling transactions accurately and maintaining pricing integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Education: Senior Certificate (Matric).
• Experience: Previous sales experience in Automotive, Engineering, Tools and Machinery, or Hardware environments is preferred. Experience in Merchandising, Stock Control, and Retail Branch Procedures is advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Reliability and honesty.
  • Technical knowledge in DIY or Hardware environments is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
