Job Summary:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Grade 10 (or equivalent).
Experience: Relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical components.

Inherent Job Requirements:

Willingness to work overtime if required.
Physical Fitness: The job entails manual work, so physical ability is essential.

Key Competencies:

Knowledge of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act: You must be familiar with safety standards related to machinery.
Ability to read and follow written instructions: This includes the capacity to understand manuals and safety procedures.
Skilled in tool usage: Ability to effectively utilize a wide variety of tools and equipment necessary for the job.
Teamwork and Independence: Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Resource Management: Ability to optimally utilize allocated resources like tools and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with the effective and efficient maintenance and repair of electrical fixtures and components. This includes working on projects, installations, and alterations as needed.
Preventative Maintenance: Assist in performing preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to ensure ongoing functionality and safety.
Stock Control: Responsible for the efficient and effective control of stock related to maintenance, including tools and materials.
Work Area Maintenance: Ensure that equipment, tools, and working areas are well-maintained and adhere to safety standards.
Human Resources Support: Provide support to the HR function where necessary.
