Key Responsibilities
Learners in the programme will undertake various critical responsibilities, including:
Sale of Schedule 1 Medicines: Managing the sale of Schedule 1 medicines, ensuring adherence to regulations.
Call Centre Assistance: Supporting call centre scripts and patient service calls.
Health Promotion: Providing information to promote health and wellness.
Scheme Authorization: Assisting with scheme authorization for chronic, HIV/AIDS, and oncology medication.
Stock Management: Reporting low stock levels and discrepancies, receiving stock as per company SOPs.
Merchandising and Cleaning: Unpacking, merchandising, and cleaning of dispensary and OTC shelves.
Medication Handling: Accurate picking, packing, labeling, and checking of medication, understanding dosages and interactions.
Pharmacist Support: Ensuring all medications are checked and signed off by a pharmacist.
Patient Follow-Up: Following up with patients regarding script tracking reports and appointments.
Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics (Higher Grade) and Physical Science or Life Science, with at least an average of 50%.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and a second language.
